I got a real breath of fresh air this week ❄️
This week my wonderful hubby drove me up to 'my other home', the Langdale valley - if you have never been, I thoroughly recommend a trip.
There truly is a reason the campsite is called GREAT Langdale.
I should maybe clarify that we did not camp - not even in Campo.
If you know my husband, you'll know he's not a camper.
I pulled some strings and treated him to a warm comfy bed at the Old Dungeon Ghyll.
That photo is taken by the kissing gate.

However, risk of freezing together meant no smooching on this occasion 😘
Let's get back to that breath of fresh air
Ah, yes.
The breath - the whole reason for this blog.
In our meditation clinic this week we are discussing why the breath is so important for helping us to relax and meditate.
Does it have to be out in the cold?
Definitely not
As wonderful as the icy fresh air was for blowing away the cobwebs, we have yogic techniques that do not require a trip to the valley or up a mountain.
In the meditation method we use, you sit on a chair in the comfort of your home (or wherever you may be).
Ideally not too warm an environment or you may fall asleep as you relax.
Need a reminder?

We use the breath to help relax the body and the mind
The breath is what ties our soul to the physical body and the ego.
It is the link between ego, consciousness, mind, emotion and even our energy levels.
It is also the tool we can use to free ourselves from the delusion of this material reality we exist in.
Using the breath in meditation will help to free our souls into ever existing bliss.
Pretty big claims there Linda
I know, but I invite you to try it and see.
But I can't meditate
I have tried, it just doesn't work
Oof, do I empathise there.
Despite teaching yoga and relaxation for nearly 30 years, I can honestly say it is only in the last 5 years that I have finally 'clicked' with the meditation.
I had read all the books
Tried all the techniques
Listened to all the teachers
Then I discovered - or perhaps I should say 'rediscovered' my Guru.
That's a story for another day.
This blog is getting too long.
We are sitting together on Wednesday at 7pm
