Practising what I teach

Work is paused, family first, staying grounded with meditation

Practising what I teach
Tune back into nature and get grounded

In the past two weeks we celebrated a family 89th, an 18th and we had a breavement.

I am doing what I teach, resting from the world, trying to relax and staying in touch with my soul.

Work is paused, family is first.

Nature and quiet time are needed.

Meditation has kept me sane

Many times in my life I have turned to yoga and meditation for support and this week I truly felt the deeper meditation practise that I have developed as part of my Kriya preparation and Disclepship training over the past few years has definitely helped .

We learn the techniques on the mat and in the chair when it is easy to practice, with guidance from a teacher.

Once learnt those skills then come easier when we really need them in times of crisis.

We perhaps struggle to establish the habits on our own, and this is why I love the community that I belong to and the one that we are creating in the new digital sanctuary that I am building (on pause just for now)

I am still pottering in the background, distracting myself where needed.

I was due to start the first cohort of the REAL method and the Healthy Home Detox, and whilst we are not joining together online just yet, I will share here a little from that first week's lesson

REAL week one

Are you feeling pulled in a dozen directions?

The "noisy world" often demands our energy for things that don't serve our soul.

This week, we begin our R.E.A.L. Path to Holistic Wellbeing.

We start with the first, most essential step: REST.

In my lineage, Paramhansa Yogananda taught that the body is the Temple of God. Before we can meditate, we must "Prepare the Temple."

This isn't just about sleep; it’s about withdrawing our energy from the outside world and anchoring it in the Spine.

You may have heard me mention this in classes - Pratyahara, withdrawal from the stimulus of the senses

Your Practice This Week:

  1. Switch off: Find 5 minutes to turn off all stimulation.
  2. Scent: Apply a drop of doTERRA Balance to your feet or wrists.
  3. Align: Sit tall. Feel your spine as a channel of light. Let your weight be heavy, but your heart be light.

We are moving from searching in the busy outer world to the inner joyful Soul and it starts with the courage to simply rest from the world.

I’ll see you in the Inner Haven.

With love and light,

Linda xx
