Fly Pie or Flylady❓
Sat at the hospital (not me this time!) pondering whether I need Dead Fly Pie or some Flylady inspiration.
Have you had Fly Pie❓
It's an Old Dungeon Ghyll favourite, sustenance on the fells or post wander
Those of you local to me might think of it as similar to Eccles cake or Chorley cake
Currants (not dead flies) brown sugar and butter in lovely pastry that's more like shortbread😋
I could probably do with that right now and a cup of coffee
Flylady is the lady whose systems have kept me and my family sane with all the to and fro with my own recent hospital stay
I'm currantly sat, back at the hospital, feeling grateful for her wisdom.
I was introduced to Flylady years ago, whilst home educating the kids.
My calmest, most organised friend had 8 kids under the age of 10
Her home was clean, organised and peaceful - mine was CHAOS
It's still CHAOS (can't have anyone over syndrome) but that's due to a hubby who is slow to embrace the systems - if you know him, you know 😂
Is my home spotless now - heck no
Does my sink shine every night - that's another no
But there was a clean toilet for my daughter to cling to whilst being sick in the middle of the night
All thanks to Flylady teaching me to swish and swipe - something I've been able to do even whilst incapacitated
The stairs weren't too bad of a hotspot so the paramedics could get up them
Thank you Flylady
Go check her out here if you aren't already a Flybaby
Prefer the Fly Pie❓
I'll meet you in the valley and if you can't make it, just ask I'll bring you a slice back - if it survives the journey 😘
How do you keep your home organised and juggle everything?
Any tips gratefully received, give me something to read whilst sat waiting test results
