My gift to you - a basic cookie recipe and the opportunity to choose what you recieve in 2026
Did you accept the cookies?
Ah, if only we actually got a cookie every time we clicked that link on the internet

I still do not fully understand the internet cookies
BUT
I do know how to bake a pretty good oat cookie using essential oils (EO) for flavour.
Today I am playing around with flavours - this is how I do the Relax part of Rest, Relax, Revive
I am hoping there will be some left to gift my Yogis at our Candlelit Yinidra for Christmas class on Monday
In case you're not coming on Monday, this is my gift to you - a basic cookie recipe and the opportunity to choose what you receive from me in 2026
So far today's cookie flavours are
Lemon and ginger
Orange and cinnamon
Cardamom and lime
Baking Spice
OnGuard
That last one might surprise those of you that know the blend
I've always said the smell reminds me of Christmas - well, it has got orange, clove and cinnamon in
First time I tried it on food was on popcorn in a class and everyone loved it
Since then I've made cookies with it and it's been a hit PLUS OnGuard boosts the immune system so I'm counting those ones as therapy cookies π
Er, I thought this was a Yoga & Meditation blog?
Yes, but no
The REAL method that I teach is holistic and what we eat plays a very big part in what we are
So cookies are essentialπ

I was hesitant at first about ingesting essential oils.
There are plenty of warnings out there telling you not to.
Obviously, please do your own research.
For over ten years now, there's only been one company that I have trusted when buying essential oils
I love their sourcing policy and how they support the growers and distillers.
As for ingesting oils - I would trust these EO far more than synthetic flavourings available in my local supermarket baking aisle.
Quality and purity aside, the taste is fresher, cleaner and a little goes a long way.
A lot of the advice on ingesting essential oils is based on out of date practices, where the oil was often blended to make it go further and /or there was no guarantee of purity and being free of pesticide contamination.
NOT ALL essential oils are suitable for ingestion.
A reputable company will label those that are - always check the label AND NEVER buy from the internet.
If you need help sourcing pure, guaranteed oils, please drop me a message and I will happily help you.
The oils on Amazon and other sites are often mixed with fillers and then resealed.
READY TO BAKE?
I often double or even triple the basic recipe.
Here is a video reel of how to make the cookies
So how much EO to add?
That will depend on a few factors
Quantity of recipe/EO used/personal taste
When I double the recipe I tend to use about 12 drops of lemon and 4 drops of ginger for my ginger and lemon cookies.
It is worth remembering that the citrus oils tend to run out of the bottle fast - I had a very lemony fruit loaf last week due to fast oil.
With the spice oils I tend to use less drops, but I often just go with how I feel.
The taste with EO is much sharper and cleaner, you only need to use a little.
Keep an ποΈ out for updated recipes as I try and keep track each week of the different mixes I play with.
You might also like to have a π in my FB group for more oily inspired recipes.
Here are some ideas to get you started
Cinnamon - baking classic
Cassia - similar to cinnamon but I think it is slightly sweeter. It is also cheaper than Cinnamon oil π and can be used in place of cinnamon
Ginger - on it's own or mixed with lemon, π yum
Any of the citrus oils individually or combined, choose from Lemon, Lime, Wild Orange, Tangerine ππ
Cardamom - not everyone's favourite
Caraway - ooh Goosnargh cakes anyone?
